NORTHERN GOSHAWK - An adult was convincingly documented by former California raptor researcher and hawk identification expert Kevin Metcalf in Eastl-ake on 24 Dec. In what seems to be a seasonal report, an immature was seen at Lakeshore Metro- park on 11 Jan. (Pogacnik). History has shown that lakefront locales are the best for this species.
