CLEVELAND CIRCLE CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNT The Kirtland Bird Club has a long tradition of supporting the Cleveland Christmas Bird Count. The Circle in which counting takes place is shown at right. The interactive map shows a number of Counting Circles. The Cleveland Christmas Bird Count is the circle showing Euclid, East Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, Beachwood, and Eastlake. Anyone can participate in the count, whether you are counting birds at your backyard feeders or tromping through woods and fields. Contact KBC member Andy Jones, ajones@cmnh.org, coordinator and compiler, to participate. Read more about Christmas Bird Counts HERE. - What color was it overall? How about the colors on the head, chest, and belly?
- How big was it – the size of a robin? the size of a crow? the size of a sparrow?
- Was there anything special you noticed? Stripes on the head? White outer tail feathers as it flew away? Flicking its tail up & down?
- Where did you see it? On the ground, in a tree, at a bird feeder? The more details the better!
