KBC’s second visit to the world’s longest-running
hawk migration count site during fall color time.

Lookout, where we’ll expect to see from 100 to 1500
raptors of as many as 12 species if the winds are
cooperative. Saturday afternoon we can stay on the
lookout if there’s a hot passage or explore other

the Sanctuary’s Acopian Center for Conservation
Learning, coordinator and clearing house for
world-wide raptor research projects.
Prime target birds include Northern Goshawk and
Golden Eagle, both reasonably probable, and the
almost-guaranteed Northern Harrier and
Sharp-shinned, Cooper’s, Red-shouldered, and

Hawk Mountain for week-long outings. He’ll regale
you with tales of the Sanctuary’s history and lore
until you shut him up.
