It rained most of the way to
Marblehead, where we were catching the ferry, but we
managed to see a Little Gull, Caspian Terns and Mute Swans
at Medusa Marsh. |
Saturday morning we checked out the shoreline
at the end of Lincoln and on the way back up the road
watched several flycatchers. |
Here we are checking out the
sandy beach at the Kelleys Island State Park.
Couldn't get all of the
groups attention to take a picture in front of the "Fish
Cleaning Hut" because |
...not far away we had a
Black-throated Green Warbler. |
We went back to the cottage
for lunch and found warblers in the trees. |
We found a Swainson's
Thrush, female Indigo Bunting, and a Fox Snake on the
North Pond Preserve boardwalk. |
We visited the Alvar
Preserve along the north shore... |
...and the Glacial Grooves
State Memorial. |
East Quarry was the next
stop. |
Looking for more shore birds
at the end of Woodford. We found a Connecticut
Warbler along Woodford also. |
Waiting to see Dave
LeGallee's "green flash" at sunset. |
We opted for dinner outside
at the Kelleys Island Cafe and Brew Pub and ended our
dinner in candlelight. |
Sunday morning's sunrise was
wonderful viewed at the end of Woodford Street were we
again saw the Connecticut Warbler amongst many Cape May
Warblers and Blackpoll Warblers.. |
| Not many
birds in North Canyon at the Kelleys Island State Park,
but we had to check it out. |
Waiting
