Transect? Do you want new skills in butterflies for teaching
others about the Long Term Butterfly Monitoring Project? The new
series offers something for everyone interested in butterflies.
You're invited to polish your identification skills
during the "butterfly-less"
season for
Ohio.
We hope you will join us!
The programs are offered at Penitentiary Glen
Nature Center in Kirtland and North Chagrin Nature
Center in Willoughby Hills.
Each program lasts for 1 1/2 hours, is free and
geared toward adults. We recommend the programs for
ages 10
and over (younger than 16 with adult). To register, call Lake

Designed to give the participant the skills to identify the
butterflies of northeastern Ohio, this workshop introduces the
most commonly seen and most easily identified butterflies in our
area. The secret life of the caterpillar, interesting butterfly
facts, and how to get started in butterfly watching are included.
