"Golden Birds and Golden
Opportunities
for Birders in Geauga County"
Although not the migration “highway” of
the lakefront, Geauga’s variety of forest types, glacial
wetlands, streams, reservoirs and Amish farm country
host a wonderful variety of birds, including rare
northern nesters, “prairie passerines”, and wintering
raptors. Dan Best, Senior Naturalist – Geauga Park
District, presents an overview of Geauga County birdlife
through the seasons.
Dan will also provide an update on the Upper Cuyahoga
River Prothonotary Warbler Nesting Project, now entering
its 18th year.
Guests are welcome!
