Every
year we start at the Tuscarawas
Meadows parking lot. |
Several
members came early. Here we
are waiting for 8:00 a.m. to begin. |
 |
 |
We got
Palm and Chestnut-sided
warblers on this side of the river. |
Ted
listening for...? |
 |
 |
Warblers
and Baltimore Orioles enjoyed
the Pin Oaks around the parking lot. |
Tree and
Rough-winged Swallows were
seen here. |
 |
 |
Spotted
Sandpiper in their usual
location. |
Wild
flowers in in bloom... |
 |
 |
..and
this female Mallard protecting
her nest along the river trail. |
Got a
Magnolia and a Blackburnian
Warbler here. |
 |
 |
| Wild
Apple blossoms along the way too. |
Nashville
warblers were around. |
 |
 |
The
Tuscarawas River provided the
habitat for the Warblers. |
We
followed the river to the bridge. |
 |
 |
The
floating boardwalk was made
stationary so no possibility of getting
wet this season. |
Marsh
Marigold were in bloom and... |
 |
 |
| Common
Violets. |
From a
distance, we checked out... |
 |
 |
| The Great
Horned Owl's nest. |
There was
an Eastern Phoebe's nest
above the light at the women's restroom. |
 |
 |
We
continued on to hoping to see the
rest of the Great--horned Owl family. |
After our
walk we had a picnic lunch. |
 |
 |
|
Recounting what we saw that morning. |
