Started out in Castalia. |
There we saw the usual, but no
bands. |
An American Coot walking
along, look at those feet! |
Found a Black-crowned Night
Heron on the far side of the pond. |
On the way to the Fish
Hatchery we look ed for and found Horned Larks. |
Having already seen a Bald
Eagle on SR2 on the way to Castalia, we found three more in
one tree. |
Got a Yellow-rumped Warbler,
Cedar Waxwing, White-throated Sparrow and a Dark-eyed Junco
here. |
At Resthaven Wildlife Area we
got a Red-bellied Woodpecker. |
This place was wonderfully
remote. |
Ice was still covering the
water. |
Bill is getting the location
for a Prairie Orchid from Sheryl Young who knew the area and
had joined us for the morning. |
We looked for other Hawks but
only had a Red-tailed and Northern Harrier. |
This guy was hanging out in
Paula's car. |
Lake Erie was still frozen at
Pickeral Creek even though the temperature was up. |
The Bayview bridge got us a
Redhead and a Horned Grebe. |
Some of us stopped and had
lunch at the Bay Bell Restaurant. |
Great trip Paula! |
